Functions
Functions connect a value x with a result f(x). You may see a table with lists of x and f(x) and be asked to write the function described by the table. Or you may see a table or list and be asked to provide a missing value.
An algebraic equation of the form "x equals something" is an example of a function. A function y=f(x) can be graphed, with f(x) on the y axis.
